申请科研岗位的冷邮件
教授读第一句话就能判断，你是真读过他的东西，还是只是在实验室网站上找到了他的名字。让冷邮件生效的，就是那处具体的引用：读过的一篇论文、听过的一次报告。

Dear Professor [Last name],
My name is [Your name], and I'm a [year] [major] student. I read your paper on [topic / specific finding] and was particularly interested in [one specific thing that stood out].
I'd love the chance to get involved in your lab's work if you have room for an undergraduate. I have [relevant skill or coursework — e.g. Python, lab experience, a related class], and I've attached my resume and transcript.
If there's an opportunity, I'd be glad to meet at your convenience. Thank you for your time.

这封邮件在做什么：
· 「I read your paper on [具体主题]」是唯一的敲门砖。写不出这句，这封邮件基本不会有回音。
· 「if you have room for an undergraduate」承认对方可能没有位置，姿态放低但不算卑微。
· 「I'd be glad to meet at your convenience」把主动权给对方，比「can I join your lab」好回答。
也要做好没回音的准备。给教授发冷邮件被忽略是常事，而且原因通常和你无关。一两周没有回复，可以再礼貌地跟一封，之后就该放下了。
